What does a Lagos Unlocked pass actually get me? +
Every pass — Day, Weekend or Premium — gives you access to all six experience zones: beach days, open-air concerts, curated restaurant access, the Saturday boat party (Weekend and Premium only), nightlife guestlist access, and the culture and art tour. The tiers differ mainly in duration and the travel and hotel perks bundled in.
Are passes refundable? +
All passes — Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum — are non-refundable but are fully transferable up to 7 days before the event. Log into your account and use the Transfer Pass option. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers event cancellation.
Can I upgrade after I've purchased? +
Yes — you can upgrade from Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum at any time before the event, subject to availability, by paying the difference. Email upgrade@lagosunlocked.co.uk with your booking reference.
Are there group discounts? +
Yes. Groups of 10 or more get 10% off across all tiers. Groups of 20 or more get 15%. Email groups@lagosunlocked.co.uk before purchasing individually to receive a group booking link.
How will I receive my pass? +
Passes are issued digitally by email within 48 hours of purchase. You'll receive a QR code to show at the gate — print it or show it on your phone. Physical wristbands are issued on arrival at the event grounds.
Which airport should I fly into? +
Fly into Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS) in Lagos. It is approximately 45–60 minutes from the event, depending on traffic. Pre-booked transfers for Silver, Gold and Platinum pass holders are arranged from MMIA.
Is the airport transfer included? +
Weekend Pass holders receive a shared shuttle transfer from MMIA to their hotel zone. Premium holders receive a private air-conditioned car with a named driver. Day Pass holders can add a transfer for £25 each way by emailing our travel team.
What currency should I bring? +
The local currency is Nigerian Naira (NGN). Card payments are accepted at most hotels and within the event. We recommend exchanging some cash on arrival at a licensed bureau de change at the airport or a bank branch in Lagos. Avoid unofficial street changers.
Should I book my hotel early? +
Yes — Lagos in September is busy and hotels fill up quickly once the event is announced. Book accommodation as soon as you have your pass. Gold and Platinum holders have accommodation included — no separate booking needed.
Do I need a visa to enter Nigeria? +
UK passport holders require a Nigerian visa. You can apply through the Nigerian High Commission in London or online via the Nigerian Immigration Service portal. Allow 3–4 weeks before your travel date. We issue a supporting event letter and a full step-by-step application guide to all pass holders automatically after purchase.
Do Premium holders get visa help? +
Yes. Gold and Platinum pass holders receive dedicated visa assistance from our travel concierge team — including reviewing your application, providing the supporting letter, and following up if any issues arise with the Nigerian High Commission.
What documents do I need for the Nigerian visa? +
Typically: a valid UK passport with at least 6 months remaining, a completed application form, your Lagos Unlocked event letter, proof of accommodation, proof of return travel, and a recent bank statement. A full checklist is included in the visa guide sent post-purchase.
Is the event safe for international visitors? +
Lagos Unlocked takes place across curated venues in Lagos. The event operates 24-hour security, access control, CCTV coverage, accredited on-site medical staff, and a dedicated emergency response team throughout the weekend.
Is there medical support at the event? +
Yes. Fully equipped first-aid stations are positioned across all experience zones, staffed by accredited paramedics and doctors for the full duration of the event. Serious cases are transferred to partner hospitals in Lagos. Travel insurance with medical coverage is strongly recommended for all international visitors.
What does the FCDO say about travelling to Nigeria? +
The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office provides travel advice for Nigeria at gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/nigeria. We encourage all attendees to read the FCDO guidance and register their travel details before departing.
What time does the weekend start and end each day? +
The weekend officially kicks off Friday afternoon. Beach days run from 11am. Open-air concerts begin at 8pm each evening. The Saturday boat party departs at 5:30pm for a sunset sail. Nightlife guestlist access runs from 11pm onwards. Full daily schedule released 4 weeks before the event.
Are all experiences happening in the same location? +
No — and that's deliberate. Lagos Unlocked is a city experience, not a resort. Beach days are at Lagos beaches. Concerts are outdoors across the city. Restaurants are spread across Lagos. The boat party departs from the lagoon. Shuttle connections between all venues are included in your pass.
Is the event accessible for disabled attendees? +
We are committed to making Lagos Unlocked accessible to all guests. Please email accessibility@lagosunlocked.co.uk when booking so we can make specific arrangements across each venue and experience zone.
